The Jaguar F-Type R could possibly be the most beautiful car ever and I am not alone in thinking this. An aesthetic masterpiece that instantly makes you want to sell your house, buy one, and live in it forever. Even if it could only rival a Reliant Robin in performance it would still be one of the most desirable and gorgeous cars money can buy; luckily however, it is far from a Reliant. Under the long bonnet, reminiscent of the iconic E-Type lives a monstrous 5-litre V8 supercharged engine, projecting a staggering 550 BHP capable of launching this 1650kg masterpiece to 0-60mph in 4.0 seconds, and all the way to an eye watering top speed of 186mph.
The F-Type R is the sort of car that wouldn’t look out of place parked outside the most luxurious and expensive restaurants in London, and then could rival a 911 round a track in the same day. It is refreshing to see a car compete with Porsche in a market they have seemingly monopolised for years now, and for such an amazing machine such as the F-Type R is, Porsche really do have something to worry about.
Any conversation you have with someone about this car, however, it will always come down to the way it looks. I feel like Jaguar could of put the engine from a jet in it and it reach a top speed of 400mph and people will still be talking about how it is so impossibly beautiful. There isn’t a single angle on this car that doesn’t make you want it.
The opulence and beauty of this car could really make you think why spending £300,000 on a Rolls-Royce is really worth it, or why spend £180,000 on a Mercedes SLS when the F-Types feel and performance is often compared to it? The Jaguar F-Type R is an unbelievably gorgeous car, which would look amazing driving through any prestigious city on the planet, and then when you want it to, it will give you the thrill of your lifetime round a track and leave you smiling for days, and all for £85,000? Bargain.
